Welcome to The Royal Oak

A London-style gastro pub serving quality, locally-sourced food in a relaxed and friendly environment

There's plenty happening at your local pub this month - something for everybody...

An Award Winning Team

The team behind the Royal Oak are also responsible for The Larwood & Voce at West Bridgford, The Lord Nelson at Burton Joyce and The The Wollaton. Co-owner John Molnar ensures the same high standards, that have won accolades at the Observer Food Monthly Awards and the Nottingham Restaurant Awards, are extended to customers of the Royal Oak.

Local produce and an extensive menu

The Royal Oak interiorThe Royal Oak, is open from mid morning to serve hearty breakfasts, through to lunch, afternoon teas, ideal for those making the most of the nearby Holme Pierrepont, to after-work special deals and finally, evening meals.  If the reception of our dishes at  our other venues are anything to go by, Sunday lunch will be an absolute must at The Royal Oak.

Serving local ingredients, from beef to lamb, locally grown vegetables and so on, is a real hit with our customers and it means we can guarantee freshness, quality and seasonality with the dishes we put on the menu - it also enables us to do our bit for producers in the area.

A laid-back restaurant for St Valentine's day - the Royal Oak is the perfect venue for any celebration - don't wait for Mother's Day or Father's day to take Mum & Dad out for a real treat. Our regular offers make dining in our restaurant a pleasure on the pocket as well as the palate.

Award-winning success at the Nottingham Restaurant Awards

Our commitment to satisfying hungry appetites with good quality, professionally-prepared local produce has not gone unrecognised. At last year's Nottingham Restaurant Awards the Mole face team scooped three highly-reputable accolades including 'Best Pub Food', 'Best Local Produce Menu' and 'Nottinghamshire Young Chef of the Year'.

The Royal Oak

Easy dining in relaxed surroundings

So for those that frequented the Royal Oak at some time during its previous existence, be prepared for a very pleasant surprise.  The décor is now an eclectic mix of textures, fabrics and colours and having opened up the space within, the flow of the pub now works with the customers rather than against them!

Dining is no longer restricted to the restaurant area, but to be enjoyed anywhere you wish.  A large open kitchen offers diners a sense of theatre and a chance to keep a beady eye on your order.
